Like many moms, I love to cook for my family eat. The problem is between basketball, football, softball, homework, gymnastics, I could go on … I don’t usually have the time to make a meal from scratch. I also don’t want to break down and order take out again….because I can’t afford it. Finding a recipe that is easy, frugal and still delicious makes everyone a happy camper. My kids love to help (read make a huge mess in the kitchen) so this Supreme Pizza Ring one is perfect to get the whole crew involved. It is made with canned crescent rolls and your favorite toppings (or whatever you have a coupon for). You could even do a half and half if you have a picky eater like my daughter. The results? A new family favorite!
Supreme Pizza Ring Ingredients
- 2 cans of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella/pizza cheese
- ¼ – ½ cup pepperoni slices
- ¼ – ½ cup diced ham
- ¼ – ½ cup chopped bell pepper, chopped
- ¼ – ½ cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 small can of sliced ripe olives
Garlic Dipping Sauce Ingredients:
- ½ stick butter or ¼ cup margarine
- 1 tsp. garlic (you can use garlic salt and skip the next step)
- ½ tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 350. Line a large cookie sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into 8 rectangles.
- Arrange the rectangles on your cookie sheet/pizza pan in a ring. The short sides of your crescent roll will form a circle in the middle.
- Spread your pizza sauce evenly onto the ring near the middle.
- Top your sauce with your cheese and toppings. Start with ¼ cup and if you want more, add the 2nd ¼ cup of your ingredients.
- Next, bring the rectangle of your dough over your filling. Tuck it underneath the bottom layer of the dough. Continue this process until you have done this on all your rectangles.
- Bake your ring for 25-30 minutes or until it is nice and golden brown. Cool for 5-10 minutes before you slice and serve.
- For the dipping sauce: Melt in microwave for 30 seconds. If not completely melted, heat for 20 seconds. Add your garlic and salt and stir!
- Dip your slice of ring into your sauce and enjoy!
