Swimsuit season is almost here!
I think I’d rather give up coffee than try on swimsuits (just kidding I’d wear a string bikini to the PTA meeting before I gave up coffee 😂) but just like every middle aged mom of three has ever dreamed about today I am going to give you a swimsuit review complete with pictures of me in said swimsuit posted on the internet 😲.
Let me start off by saying I have not owned a one piece swimsuit since I was a child. Now don’t mistake that sentence to mean I am running around in skimpy bikinis. Quite the opposite really, one piece suits just never had the support that my chest or tummy needed since having kids. Most of my swimsuits consisted of boy type shorts and specially sized (read: very expensive) tankini tops like in the picture below.
When I saw several fashion bloggers raving about this One Piece High Neck V-Neckline Mesh Ruched Monokini Swimsuit, I honestly thought even though it looked great on them it wasn’t for me. But it kept popping up in my Facebook and Instagram feed. I even got an email that The Today Show and People Magazine were talking about it. I decided to give it a try and figured I didn’t have much to lose since it was shipped Prime for me and had free returns.
It arrived in 2 days (did I mention I love you Prime) and just like all of the young Instagram models, I begged my 10 year old daughter to hook it for me in the back and take a very professional picture 😂. She agreed but only if I would wear the bracelet she just made in it. I honestly can not believe I love it!
I ordered my regular size and was a bit worried since I have a large chest for my height but there was plenty of room. The sides are ruched pattern in the torso which the description says accentuates your curves and hides imperfections perfectly while still being flattering and I think that’s actually true! The back has a cute cutout at the top but still covers my full backside.
The suit was available here in 9 different colors and sizes XS – 16 Plus.
I also spotted the same type suit with pretty patterns on the top here in sizes S – XL.
